Mission
Para la Naturaleza exists to manage and conserve natural and historical resources in the islands of Puerto Rico and to instill in our people a sense of responsibility toward the conservation of our natural resources and historic heritage thereby fomenting collaboration at the individual and community level in protecting these resources.
Vision
Para la Naturaleza envisions a Puerto Rico in which at least 33% of its lands are conserved in perpetuity, where the use of its ecosystems is sustainable, its water resources well-managed, and resources for local food production increased. We also envision a Puerto Rico that preserves and makes available for interpretation historic sites, particularly ones related to the natural environment.
Our Guiding Principle
We believe in the transformational and life-enhancing power of experiences with nature. We see how it reconnects people with their natural surroundings and makes them care for nature.
